The care team, from the front desk to the check-out and all those in between were professional and caring. The vet addressed all our questions and followed up to make sure our Pup was feeling better. I have confidence in Peaks View Animal Hospital and all those who work there.
We’ve trusted Peaks View Animal Hospital with Kozmo’s (my dog) care since 2011, and after 15 years, I can honestly say they have become so much more than just our veterinary office—they’ve been part of our tribe.
Over the years, Kozmo has consistently received exceptional care. Dr. Henry is, without question, the best canine orthopedic surgeon in the area. A few years ago, he quite literally saved Kozmo’s life and his leg. During one of the most difficult seasons of our lives, the team supported us not only medically but also emotionally and financially. I will never forget that kindness.
There are so many people who deserve recognition. Our favorite veterinary technician, Clay, has been a familiar, welcoming face since Kozmo’s very first visit as a puppy and continues to care for him now as a senior. Michelle at the front desk has always been incredibly kind and welcoming. More recently, Dr. Pasterneck has become one of our favorite veterinarians. She never rushes appointments, takes the time to explain everything thoroughly, answers every question, and truly partners with us to keep Kozmo on the best possible health path.
That said, I recently had a disappointing experience after Kozmo suffered a collapsing trachea and required an emergency veterinary visit. I made several follow-up calls regarding medication interactions and received little response. Unfortunately, one front desk employee was consistently dismissive and unkind, leaving me feeling as though Kozmo’s care was not a priority. It became so discouraging that I actually started researching other veterinary practices.
Thankfully, during Kozmo’s next appointment, I brought up my concerns with Dr. Pasterneck and asked about their follow-up process after emergency visits. I am so grateful that I did.
I was introduced to Assistant Manager Heather Chatman, who handled the situation with genuine empathy, professionalism, and compassion. She listened, validated my concerns, assured me they would address the issue, and sincerely thanked me for bringing it to their attention. That conversation reminded me why we’ve remained loyal to Peaks View for all these years. Rather than becoming defensive, they chose to listen, care, and make things right.
No veterinary practice is perfect, but how they respond when something goes wrong speaks volumes about their character.
Kozmo has never known another veterinarian, and he deserves the very best. Thanks to the incredible people who continue to care for him—especially Dr. Henry, Clay, Michelle, Dr. Pasterneck, and Heather Chatman—I know he’s exactly where he belongs.
Thank you all for the years of compassion, expertise, and dedication you’ve shown our family
